Accepted Health Funds

We accept all health funds at Jephson Street Dental. To make our dental services more accessible to patients, and help them get the treatments they need, we work with all available health funds as a preferred provider.

You may contact your health fund provider to find out whether you are eligible for on-the-spot claiming or to check full terms and conditions. If you belong to a health fund that is not listed above, please give us a call to discuss your options.

Making dental care more convenient

Standing in a long queue just to claim your benefits isn’t anyone’s idea of fun – that’s why we’re happy to provide our patients with on-the-spot claiming for most major Australian health funds. This means less waiting around and can make the entire process less stressful.

Bupa Members First

Jephson Street Dental is proud to be a Bupa Members First practice. For Bupa members with the appropriate level of cover, you’ll enjoy dental care that is affordable and convenient. Generally speaking, you need to have Bupa hospital and extras coverage, but be sure to visit www.bupa.com.au to learn more about your eligibility.

Convenient

Unclear fees and treatment costs can make planning and budgeting much more difficult. With Bupa Members First, you’ll have known out-of-pocket expenses for most dental treatments.

Bupa also means faster and more efficient claiming through electronic submission, allowing us to provide on-the-spot claiming for eligible patients.

Affordable

Depending on your plan, you can receive up to 60-100% back on all general dental services.

Children’s treatment is important, but can start to take a financial toll, especially on top of any other treatment the rest of your family might need. Luckily, if you have the appropriate Bupa coverage, your child might be eligible for No Gap Kids Dental.

To put it simply, this will mean no out-of-pocket expenses for general children’s services, such as check-ups, scales and cleans, fillings, and X-rays. This lasts until your child (your dependant) is 25 years old.

No Gap Kids Dental is only available on certain Extras Covers, generally on a family membership for hospital cover. Waiting periods, annual maximums, and various other exclusions still apply. However, to confirm your child’s eligibility, we recommend contacting Bupa. We may also be able to answer your questions, so don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Other payment alternatives

Aside from accepting all health funds, Jephson Street Dental also offers patients a variety of ways to make paying for treatment more manageable.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is a government initiative covering general dental services for eligible children. The total entitlement is capped at $1000 every two years. To determine eligibility, your child will need to meet a means test (similar to the previous Medicare Teen Dental Plan). Because dental emergencies can be costly, we have partnered with Dental Care Network to bring patients Dentisure, a patient loyalty program.
